What Is Stored in Your Browser
Tooltri saves a small amount of information directly in your browser: things like your preferred dark or light mode and the currency you last selected. If you use a calculator, it also remembers the numbers you typed so you don't lose your work on a page refresh. None of this information is sent anywhere. It lives only on your device, and you can clear it at any time by clearing your browser's storage.
We Set No First-Party Cookies
Tooltri does not set any first-party cookies. We do not use tracking cookies, analytics cookies or session cookies of our own. Google Analytics may set its own cookies to distinguish unique sessions; those are governed by Google's Privacy Policy. When Google AdSense is enabled in future, Google may set additional advertising cookies at that time.
What We Store in Your Browser (Local Storage)
Tooltri uses your browser's local storage for three things: your theme preference (Dark or Light mode), your selected currency across the financial tools, and the values you type into each of the six financial calculators (SIP, SWP, Home Loan EMI, ROI, CPM, Profit Margin) so a page refresh does not reset them. This data stays on your device. It is never sent to our servers and we cannot see it. Our other tools do not save any input data. You can clear saved calculator values with the Reset button on each calculator, or clear this site's data in your browser settings at any time.
Google Analytics
Tooltri uses Google Analytics to collect anonymized, aggregate usage data including page views, tool clicks, session duration, geographic regions (country-level only), device types and browser versions. Google Analytics may use cookies to distinguish unique sessions. This data helps us understand which tools are most used and how to improve the platform. Google Analytics never receives any data you enter into our tools; your financial figures, passwords, code or personal information are never transmitted to Google Analytics under any circumstances.
Advertising (Planned)
Tooltri plans to show advertisements through Google AdSense once the account is approved. Ads are not currently displayed on the site. When ads do go live, Google and its advertising partners may set third-party cookies to serve personalized ads based on your browsing history. Those cookies are set and managed entirely by Google and are governed by Google's Privacy Policy at policies.google.com/privacy. You will be able to opt out of personalized advertising at any time by visiting adssettings.google.com.
What We Do Not Do
Tooltri does not use tracking cookies, session cookies, browser fingerprinting, pixel tags or web beacons of our own. Local storage is used solely for the theme preference, currency choice and financial calculator inputs described above. No tool input data is ever written to cookies.
Local Storage vs. Cookies: What Is the Difference?
Cookies are small data files that your browser sends to a server with every request; they can be read by both your browser and the server. Local storage is a browser feature that stores data exclusively on your device and is never sent to any server. Tooltri uses only local storage (not cookies) for its own functionality, which means your theme preference, currency choice and saved calculator inputs remain on your device and are never accessible to us or any third party.
Your Control Over Storage
You have complete control over cookies and local storage on your device. You can clear local storage and cookies at any time through your browser settings, or use the Reset button on any financial calculator to clear saved calculation inputs. Clearing browser storage will reset your theme preference and currency to defaults, but will not affect your ability to use any tool on Tooltri. You can block third-party cookies entirely through your browser privacy settings. Instructions vary by browser and are typically found under Settings, then Privacy and Security.
